Hi,

I wrote my own TCP/IP server based on enet_lwip example but it has a really poor stability. I'm sometimes unable to connect to the server (ip adress is not found by my computer) and when I can connect to it the connection is broken after few seconds.

To debug this problem I reprogram the example and the problem is quiet the same. The first connection is easier but it cut after approximately one minute.

I tried to connect the board directly to my computer, to connect the 2 devices to my router or to connect the board to the router with cable and computer by wifi. The problem is always the same.

Do you have any suggestion about something to try ?

Hi Nathan,

Which version of C2000Ware are you using? Can you try updating the lwip example source files mentioned in this e2e thread https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/c2000/f/171/p/956874/3542442#3542442 whcih has an update on recovering from fifo overflow. Just go through the replies which are marked solved.

I have C2000ware in version 3.03 and did all the updates mentionned in the thread. The connection is very better now and does not disconnect after a while, but after few minutes of running the connection is slow. The board responds in 2 seconds or sometimes more.

Any other suggestions about why is it so slow ?

Nathan,

The current implementation accepts all the packets in the network and sends them to the stack for processing. You can use a mac or vlan filter capabilities of the hardware to reduce the amount of processing.

You can go through the existing vlan example in the C2000Ware and the filtering section in the EMAC chapter of f2838x TRM.
