Is C2000ware free?

Yes, the SDK is free download.

You will also need TI Code Composer. if you do not have it, you can download that also for free.

You will need to import the project. Go to CCS menu File -> Import. Then you can build/load.

The workshop is on older device but it is applicable to F28388D device as well.

The dockstation has inbuilt xds100v2 emulator. Please go through the user's guide one more time. It walks through how to connect.

Also, do not use UART. You need to select xds100v2.

In led_blinky project, just press debug, it will automatically use the target configuration in the project and launch it.

Sorry I meant to delete my last post. I do have xds100v2 selected but am trying to work on the error below. I beleive my device drivers aren`t installed properly. Where can I install these from?

I am also using a 20Mhz configuration so I changed my cware to an older version:

Looks like you are using C2000ware 3.01.00.00 so you do not need any change.

Right-click targetconfigs -> TMS320F28388D.ccxml, and launch selected and then connect.

Please make sure you are connecting controlcard and dock-station as per the users guide I mentioned earlier.
