Greetings! Lately I`ve noticed the F28004x uC are not recomended for ACI motors. The recommended controller are F2802x,F2805x and F2806x series. Can you give me a little bit more information why F28004x are not suitable for ACIM? There are example induction motors into the user.h for F28004x and according to the datasheet these series has more DIPs, RAM and FLASH in comparison with F2802x. Where is the difference?

For my next design I can easily change the controller, but just to be sure.

    That's not right. The InstaSPIN-FOC of F28004xC is not recommended for ACI motors, the F28004x can be used for ACIM if you are using the open source code motor control algorithm in controlSUITE or your own motor control algorithm. The FAST estimator library of instaSPIN in F28004x ROM is not validated for ACIM control.
