TMS320F28388D: Establishing Simple Ethernet Communication on TMS320F28388D

Hello, I am currently running FreeRTOS blink led example on my TMS320F28388D. How is a simple TCP/IP ethernet connection normally setup in software? Is there an NDK I should be using, which version would work with FreeRTOS?
