I am not using Fast Serial Interface (FSI) of TMS320F280049C, but I am exploring of ways to do integrity checks of I2C EEPROM data. Can I use the ECC module of TMS320F280049C Fast Serial Interface (FSI) peripheral by writing to TX_ECC_DATA register and getting the ECC value out of TX_ECC_VAL and the reverse with RX_ECC registers? If yes, is it possible to use these registers without assigning pins to FSI peripheral with MUX?
