Hi,

I want to ask you why you used the gate drive transformer for the primary mosfet. Why did not you use the isolated gate driver IC ? Is there any special purpose ?

Hi Ahmet,

I am not the original hardware designer but I think the reason is the consideration of propagation delay of the isolated gate driver compared with gate drive transformer for this peak current mode control application. Also the cost is also considered.
