TMS320F28335: Best Way to Program C2000 Microcontrollers

Hello,

I am designing a system based on TMS320F28335 using IAR.

IAR has a simple method to program the microcontroller but I'd like to be up to date and know what other ways can be used to program this microcontroller (C2000 in general).

The ways I found are:

- Using SDFlash - year 2008

- F021 FLASH API - year 2012

- Serial Flash Programming of C2000™ Microcontrollers - TI FLASH Kernel (bootloader) – year 2014

- UniFlash – year 2020

- Using IAR – year 2020

What is the best method to program the C2000 microcontrollers?

Marius,

I would suggest to use Uniflash.

Please note that support for SDFlash is not available.

F021 Flash API is not meant for this device.

Thanks for your fast response.

I included the F021 FLASH API because I am using the ARM microcontrollers too.

I posted the same question for the SM470R1B1M - I am using IAR.

Yes, everything is clear now.

I'd suggest, TI to release periodically a document where to specify the most up to date and the history of "how to program" the TI microcontrollers. I spent a lot of time to find this and only your answer clarified the subject.
