TMS320F28377D: TMS320F28377 ADC

Part Number: TMS320F28377D

Built in 16 bit ADC of tms320f28377

1. Built in 16 bit ADC, offset voltage in differential application? Temperature drift maladjustment? Gain temperature drift?

2. What should we pay attention to when using 16 bit ADC? Including peripheral op amp?

Please see the performance characteristics in the datasheet.  These specifications apply across the full range of supported operating conditions.  The effects of temperature drift is expected to differ between devices so there is no official guidance for manual correction.

The usage conditions in the datasheet should be met:

The TRM also has a Designing an External Reference Circuit section.

Here's an old thread for input conditioning: https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/c2000/f/171/t/651443

And here is a recent appnote discussing the modeling of the ADC input: https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/spract6

  • What customers want to know is the temperature drift data of the built-in ADC, including gain temperature drift and offset temperature drift, which are not mentioned in the datasheet.

  • Carl,

The performance specified in the datasheet is inclusive of temperature drift so you can use the Min/Max range as a coarse indicator of what the worst-case temperature effects might be.
