TMS320F28388D: One question of driverlib.lib

Hi champs,

There are driverlib_coff.lib and driverlib_eabi.lib in F2837xD/S driverlib folder, but only the driverlib.lib in F2838x directory.

Does F2838x driverlib.lib support both COFF and EABI formats please?

F2838x driver lib.lib supports on only EABI format.

Santosh,

My customer used F28377D for previous generation product and would like to implement new product with F28388D, they will migrate their software from F28377D to F28388D and want to keep using COFF output format.

Does it make sense if I ask my customer to import f2838x_driverlib project, specify floating point support to fpu32, select library output format to legacy COFF and then build driverlib_coff.lib by themselves?

Luke,

It is recommended to EABI output format for new design. They can compile it for COFF format, however we have not tested in COFF format on F28388D device.
