Dear team,

Please check the following issue:

Does F280049C launchpad have to be connected to an optocoupler drive module to drive the motor drive board?

Customers need to connect non-TI motor drive boards. Do the PWM interfaces of J4 and J8 of F280049C need to be connected to the optocoupler drive module to connect to the PWM signal end of the motor drive board?

It is not a MUST do thing, it depends on the voltage and current level of the inverter. With our low voltage inverter modules such as the 3 phase GaN inverter booster pack, we directly connect these two without any isolation. Basically, the customer will have to make a choice on how to go about evaluating his inverter. Hope it helps.
