CCS/TMS320F28069M: Can I boot F28069M with XDS110

Greetings! I don`t think I trully inderstand Table 6-1. Boot Mode Selection from the datasheet. Can I use my XDS110 to load new firmware to the flash ot this controller or I need to do it through SCI or parallel port?

Hello,

Yes, you can use the XDS110 along with Code Composer Studio to program new firmware into the device.

The table "Boot Mode Selection" describes how the code embedded in the boot ROM will respond upon a reset. Refer to chapter 4 of the F280069 device workshop: https://training.ti.com/c2000-f2806x-microcontroller-workshop and the boot ROM chapter of the device technical reference manual.

The SCI or parallel port "Boot Mode Selection" option is often used to upgrade the firmware when Code Composer Studio is not connected - for example in the field or on a production line. Refer to https://www.ti.com/lit/sprabv4 for more information.
