    Using GUI Composer tool can I be able to connect IDDK Dev Kit[2.2.1]. Is it possible to connect dev kit to PC using the GUI developed in GUI composer using SCI and control the motor velocity and position by giving commands from UI to controller.

It can be used offline. There are some instructions here on adding a local .ccxml file to the project and exporting a standalone desktop application that can be run offline:

My only experience with GUI Composer has been to connect over the debugger connection, but in theory you should be able to write some SCI drivers to run on the IDDK and use the USB UART mode of GC to communicate over a COM port.

Unfortunately the only examples there are for MSP430 or MSP432 devices, but it might be enough to get you started.

If you'd prefer to keep it simple and don't mind a text interface instead of a GUI, you can always just use SCI to communicate using a terminal program like we do with the echoback example in C2000Ware.

I didn't understand the procedure. Offline in the sense, is there a software which I can download(just like CCS) and install in my work PC and develop UI as per requirement?

Or else, do I have to develop UI in web browser and export to work PC?I'm bit unclear about the procedure.

If I successfully install the Composer in my chrome, will I be able to develop UI(by deploying and publishing it as standalone code)  to control the motor using the IDDK kit.

Please help.

Sorry, I should have clarified that point--you do have to do your GUI development online in your web browser. Once it is complete, you can export your finished GUI and use it as a standalone offline application..

Thanks a lot for the reply. One more doubt regarding GUI Composer.

For us it is not possible to access CCS Cloud. I just tried online GUI Composer in my browser.For connection purposes do I have to select USBUART option or XDS.

In linux environment I downloaded TIcloudagent and executed it. But the device is not connecting. Please help

I added the addon TIcloudagentbridge successfully to my firefox. I downloaded TIcloudagent.run. Im unable to run this file, can you please tell me how to run this file as I'm new to linux.

Note: I'm using firefox(32bit) latest version

I haven't tried the cloud agent on Linux, but I think in general with .run files you just need to use chmod to make it executable and then just execute the command "./TIcloudagent.run" and follow whatever prompts it gives you. If you just do a web search on "how to run a .run file" you should find a few explanations.

My ubuntu machine is 32 bit. Is this the reason why I'm unable to run TIcloudagent.run
