Hello,

I use TMS320F28388D and SYSCONFIG-Desktop ver.

I want to graphicize the block diagram like attached figure using SYSCONFIG-Desktop and CCS.

Is this feasible?

If it is feasible, please tell me the procedure.

What exactly do you mean by graphicize?

The CLB tool through sysconifg generates a .DOT file. Then the postBuildSteps of the CCS, calls Node.js and javascript utility to generate an HTML and an SVG.

The TI document at the above URL is using SYSCONFIG in CCS.

I want to know if I can create a block diagram using SYSCONFIG-DESKTOP.

If it is feasible, is the procedure the same with SYSCONFIG in CCS?

Oh, well thats interesting. The CLB Tool is generating a DOT file. I implemented that ONLY for CLB Tool. Many other syscofig peripherals dont. The Sysconfig desktop if used with CLB tool, can generate CLB.dot, then you can view the dot file in a DOT file viewer.

I also added a utility to the CLB tool and run a cmd line executable to generate an HTML/SVG from the DOT file.

So no standard syconfig doesnt have that capability. Use the example CLB projects I provided in CCS for block diagrams. AND THIS IS ONLY FOR CLB.

Q1. I don't understand the meaning of the above sentence. Could you tell me more?

Q2. Is it okay to recognize that the SYSCONFIG-Desktop can also create block diagrams using the same procedure as SYSCONFIG in

CCS?

Standard Sysconfig doesnt have a graphical output. Some very specific sysconfig based utilities do. Like the CLB.

The C2000Ware examples for CLB have block diagram generation but that is it for Sysconfig based block diagram generation as of now.

I'm sorry, I don't think the story is a little intertwined.

I will tell you about my current situation.

My project use a copy of the header file configured in Desktop-SYSCONFIG.

Because my project does not have SYSCONFIG built-in CCS.

From what you're saying, I can use Desktop-SysConfig instead of SYSCONFIG with built-in CCS to generate block diagrams as well, right?

And SYSCONFIG-Desktop can also create block diagrams using the same procedure as SYSCONFIG in CCS, right ?

What are you trying to generate a block diagram of? You can only generate a block diagram of the CLB peripheral inside C2000 devices.

Two options,

1. Copy the content of the dot file into a dot file viewer online, here is one for example:

2. use the Node.js executable + my js script, run the command line script below:

${NODE_TOOL} "${CLB_SYSCFG_ROOT}/dot_file_libraries/clbDotUtility.js" "${CLB_SYSCFG_ROOT}" "${BuildDirectory}/syscfg" "${BuildDirectory}/syscfg/clb.dot"

1. yes.

2. you have to do it in the CMD line. It has nothing to do with sysconfig.

Sysconfig just generates DOT file. To convert to a graph, it's all on you.

I was setting up CLB in Desktop-Sysconfig.

I get a warning when I set LUT1.out to the input of FSM_0.

Is this a bug? Or is it prohibited to set?

I don't get warning when I set LUT1.out to the input of FSM_1.

I couldn't understand if there are restrictions that cannot be set in FSM0.

and I check Sysconfig into CCS and I got the same warning.

SysConfg version is 1.6.0 and CCS version is 10.1.

this is a prohibited set to eliminate loopbacks within the logic. There is a small note on this in the TRM. The unavailable connections for each TILE's modules.
