TMS320F28379D: XDS560v2 improved debug features

We were looking into the enhanced debug capability of the 560v2.  We had the impression this debugger will allow high speed data logging. By this I mean capture variables at high rate from the Delfino (F283xx) and store in the debugger buffer. We can't find any documentation that proves this can or cannot be done on the Delfino.

    Nick,

    I know that in terms of comms speed with the MCU the 560 is the fastest emulator, for C2000 devices this typically results in less flash programming time/program load times.

    From what I gather on the 560 the local data logging memory appears to only be usable for trace logging, which C2000 does not support.  

    There should be a way to use the CCS DSS scripting/debug server to read locations and write them out to a PC text file; but I'm not sure of the max data rate, or if the XDS560 would be any different than a XDS200, in this regard.  

    An alternative would be to buffer this data on whatever F28379D SRAM is free(that may be the crux of the problem we're solving) and then export chunks at a time.

    I'm going to push this thread over to the tools team for any comment outside the above.
