TMS320F280049: Interrupt nesting from every ISR

Hi Experts,

When the WDT counter overflows during a ISR which is not WAKE/WDOG ISR, a customer would like to make an WAKE/WDOG interruption immediately.
The interrupt nesting is explained in “processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Interrupt_Nesting_on_C28x”.
It says that Do not modify PIEIER registers outside of an ISR for that group.

Even though the program runs in an ISR in another group, they would like to make the interrupt WAKE/WDOG immediately.
So, could you please let us know the resolution to make a WAKE/WDOG interruption from any ISRs.

First, the interrupt nesting link that provided in your original post above is obsolete. Please advise the customer to use the following as a reference: https://software-dl.ti.com/C2000/docs/c28x_interrupt_nesting/html/index.html This one answers the question about how nesting interrupts can be supported on the C2000.

In addition, please advise the customer about this training material as well: https://training.ti.com/c2000-f28004x-microcontroller-workshop?cu=1137791 This is a general link that is applicable to the F28004x device.

Hi Hitoshi,

Yes. The link I sent you talks about both the default operation (No Nesting) and then further down, on the same page it talks about how nesting can be enabled and how to modify the PIEIER. It also shows an example of how to do that.

Please let me know if there are additional questions after reviewing the section that talks about nesting and the example.

I would very appreciate if an example which shows how to make an INT2 interrupt during another group like INT4 ISR is on the page.
