TMS320F280049: Regarding CMP load mode in HRPWM operation

Part Number: TMS320F280049

Hi expert,

Our TRM has instructed that we should "load on either CTR = ZERO or CTR = PRD" when using HR period.

May I kindly know the reason behind? (If I load only on ZERO or PRD, what will happen?)

BTW, if we are using global load function at the same time. Will it still be limited to load on either CTR = ZERO or CTR = PRD?

Thanks

Sheldon

  • Yes you would still be limited to the same scenario.

There is an internal double shadowing that REQUIRES this. If not done at BOTH events on Up-down count, you will see your edges will not be moved correctly in all scenarios.

In Up count mode, you will not get correct edge in some scenarios as well.

    Those are HARD requirements.
