ControlSuite installer fails

 I receive the following error when I run control suite:

"This installation package could not be opened.  Verify...."

I attempt to run control suit from c:\ti\controlsuite and receive this error:

"Faulty controlSuite installation.  Please reinstall Controlsuite"

 

 

I have XP SP3, and install .net 4.0.  I also installed this on mywork computer without issue.  This is a home computer. I turned off my firewall during install also.

    Update, the second failure was due to improper extraction to c:\.  The manual zip extraction is working and I can launch controlsuite now..  The installer is not working.

    Belay that statement!  The latest SPRCA85.zip only has C:\TI\controlSUITE\libs\app_libs\motor_control\math_blocks\v3.0 and C:\TI\controlSUITE\libs\app_libs\motor_control\math_blocks\v2.0. 

    It's missing the fixedpoint and v2.1 directories.  The Low voltage motor control project from control suite is referencing the fixedpoint libs/source.  

    I'm sure if the installer worked, it would correct this, BUT IT DOESN"T WORK.

    I also tried to run the update from ControlSuite, and it also fails. 

    I didn't have these issues on my work pc, but there i was able to run the controlsuite installer.

    I had a second firewall I was using that was blocking downloads based on extensions.  When I turned that feature off, the ControlSuite was operational.
