TMS320F28388D: Asking for pin mux tool to support 176pin device and hardware reference design

Hi expert,

My customer is evaluating F28388D for servo motor application. They'd like to know if we can:

1. Provide hardware reference design for MCU system (schematic and PCB source). They are targeting for 176 pin device specially.

2. Provide pin mux tool that support 176pin device. (Their feedback is this packaged F28388 is no where to find in their pin mux tool)

    Sheldon,

    1. Please use the TMDSCNCD28388D as a reference. This is a 337 pin design, but all of the circuits are similar to what should be used on the 176 pin device. The layout should be significantly more simple since teh 176 pin is not a BGA.
    2. Please check the following link, the 176 pin device can be found by selecting F2838x
      1. https://dev.ti.com/sysconfig/?fromPinmux=true#/start
      2. the link above is the online version, perhaps the customer has an old version of the pinmux tool installed. If they update the tool it should show the 176 pin device as well.
