TMS320F28027: Discrepancy in "compare modules" amount

Dear Texas community,

i found a discrepancy about the quantity of "compare module" between Tecnical Reference Manual (as below)

page 443: 
These devices have three comparators as shown ibelow and described in Table 7-2.

COMP1 6400h – 641Fh 1 Comparator
COMP2 6420h – 643Fh 1 Comparator
COMP3 6440h – 645Fh 1 Comparator


and datasheet (2)

Also, the COMP3 pin is not reported in Orcad model.

So the question is: how many comparators TMS320F2802x has?

    Nicola,

    Thanks for reaching out to the E2E forums.  The F2802x line of devices only has 2 comparators; so the TRM is incorrect in this case.  I will file a bug report to get the TRM fixed.  The F2803x series of devices does have 3 comparators if that is needed by your application.

    The device comparison table in the datasheet(on page 6 in this case) should be the trusted reference in case of discrepancies.  Appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
