TMS320F28377D: Dedicate 2 bits in RAM to store flag value

Part Number: TMS320F28377D

I want to store 2 flags in the RAM memory. The requirement is that this data must not be erased after a reset.

Through the C code, these flags will be written and read.

Could you pls provide guidance/reference for:

1. Changes required in the memory linker command file

2. Appropriate C functions required to read/write to these flags

Table 4-11 (page 616 of SPRUHM8I) shows the various sources of reset and whether RAM initialization is done for that reset. Note that all RAM blocks are initialized by the boot-ROM.

Sayali,

If you are not using hibernate feature in your application then you could use HIBBOOT* or IORESTORE* register to store this information. These register get reset by PORESETn (power on reset only).
