TMS320F280049: INTOSC2 1K pull-down resister accuracy

Hi Champs,

According to TRM, if the device is clocked from an on-chip 10MHz oscillator (INTOSC2), a 1K pull-down resister must be connected to X1.
So could you please let me now the tolerance for the resister?
Is J class is OK?

Also, is it related to the accuracy of the 10MHz oscillation?

Hi Hitoshi,

The external pull-down resistor requirement at X1 does not affect the internal oscillator accuracy. This is just to ensure that X1 will not be left floating. In fact, you should connect X1 pin to GND as recommended section 6.6 of the datasheet (Connections for Unused Pins).
