Hi,

I made 500 custom boards recently.

Some boards have an uncorrectable error during power on.

I checked a ERR_STATUS and IPC Command.

When an uncorrectable error occurred, UNC_ERR_L flags in the ERR_STATUS register was set to 1.

And CPU2 to CPU1 error IPC command is 0xFFFF FFFA.

This error occurs occasionally when power on.

If CPU2 to CPU1 error IPC command is 0xFFFF FFFA, then it means CPU2 received NMI (Non maskable Interrupt). This information is available in TRM pg 676 in

Table 5-23. CPU2 to CPU1 Error IPC Commands

CPU2 BOOTROM status is stored in address 0x0000 0002. You need to understand which event triggered NMI and then take corrective action. In Pg708, Table 5-71. CPU2 Boot Status Bit Fields provides bit field CPU2 boot status and will help you identify which event triggered NMI event.

Hi,

CPU2TOCPU1IPCBOOTSTS is 0x90027002.

Compared to normal, the 28th bit is set.

28th bit's description is Flash Uncorrectable Error NMI occurred.

Is there a relationship between flash and power at boot time?

No, This issue isn't resolved.

I am sure to program ECC for flash memory.

Is it possible that the same ECC is programmed, but only some boards get an error?

Yoon,

One the failing device, please check the address at which the ECC error is occurring. You can load a code in to RAM to read entire flash space with ECC enabled. This will catch the error address in the FLASH_ECC_REGS (please go through section 13.13.3 FLASH_ECC_REGS Registers in TRM).

This will help you to analyze the issue further.
