TMS320F28379D: TBPHSHR register

Hello,

We are using TMS320F28379D processor and we are configuring HRPWM (Phase Shift). The new version of TRM (SPRUHM8I) specifically mentions

“TBPHSHR must not be used. Instead TRREM (translator remainder register) must be used to mimic the functionality of TBPHSHR.” à However, this was not the case with the previous version of the TRM (SPRUHM8H).

I used TBPHSHR and is working fine as expected. So my questions are as follows:

  1. What is the difference (Why TI recommends not to use TBPHSHR register ?)
  2. Maintaining the same configuration of other registers of ePWM module and instead of updating TBPHSHR, if I update TRREM à Will the behavior remain same ?

Kindly let us know if you need to know how we are configuring the other registers.
