TMS320F28027F: how to set GPIO34 Low at very beginning of start

Part Number: TMS320F28027F
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F280025C

Hi everyone

as you may know for  MCU to run the GPIO34 needs to be set high initially{pull up) I used this pin for inrush relay ,the problem is at very  beginning  of start, the output of GPIO34  set to high for less than 1 sec !

I took up 3.3k pull up resistor but the output of  GPIO34 is high.

what I need is GPIO34  be all the time low until I set it to high in program .would you please tell me how to do it.

is there any way to boot MCU without pulling up resistor(3.3k)?

thanks

Dave.

  • Dave,

this is a boot mode pin, if you are trying to use a boot mode which requires GPIO34 to be high, then there is no way around using a pull-up resistor. Unfortunately the "get mode" boot configuration, which allows booting from flash, does require GPIO 34 to be pulled high.

Several newer C2000 devices like TMS320F28049C and TMS320F280025C allow some configurability on what pins are used for boot mode configuration, but unfortunately TMS320F280027F does not.

  • Cody ,

    thanks i got that .
