TMS320F280049: Best practice for changing identifier of one message object on the fly

Part Number: TMS320F280049

Hi expert,

My customer would like to send DCAN message with different identifier (change identifier for each message, or change on the fly) on the SAME message object. Do you have any recommendations/comment for this practice?

They'd like to:

1. Re-configure message object before each time need to change a message identifier.

2. Poll sending status

3. Send message when message object is free

Thanks

Sheldon

  • 1. Re-configure message object before each time need to change a message identifier.

Yes, the message object needs to be reconfigured for the new MSGID.

    2. Poll sending status

Whether to use polling or to use interrupt is completely up to the application.

    3. Send message when message object is free

Sending the message is not under the control of the code. Message is sent when the bus is free and arbitration is won the transmitting node.
