TMS320F28069: Fast RTS Library

Hi,

I am trying to reduce time for two division operations which take 5.4 us to execute.I have included Fast RTS library and followed the example FPU_hardware as well. However, my computation time is still not reducing even with maximum speed in the optimization options. Could you help me in figuring what could be going wrong?

Hi,

Have you included the fpu32 in processor options? What are the number of clock cycles taken to execute the fpu instructions? Are they consistent with the number of clock cycles in the user guide? If they are, increasing the optimisation will not help.

I have included fpu32 in options. Is this the correct number of cycles on pg.46 for div_32.out?

Yes. Depending on the size of both arguments, you can find the number of clock cycles in pages 34-47 in the user guide.
