TMS320F280025: SPIA on F2800025

Hi,

Good day.

Our customer has a problem on the SPIA of the TMS320F280025. Kindly see below for their description.

"I'm having a problem with SPIA on F280025A device
It only works if I use GPIO16=SPISIMOA; GPIO17=SPISOMIA; GPIO18=SPICLKA; GPIO19=SPISTEA
If I configure GPIO1=SPIAMISO it doe not work

I'm using the sample code spi_exe1_loopback in TI dev board
if I configure SPI in loopback mode works fine
then I changed to normal mode, made wire jumper GPIO16 and GPIO17 and works good as well

now if I configure GPIO1 as SPIAMISO the SPI does not works"

Cedrick,

I don't F280025 hardware / launchpad for me to test. I shall pick the hardware from lab. Please give 2 - 3 business days to look into this.

Cedrick,

I don't have any problem getting GPIO1 working as SOMI pin with / without loopback enabled.

When loopback is disabled, I connected GPIO1 (SOMI) to GPIO16 (MOSI) and code worked fine.

I got feedback from Fadhel, Antonio that you were able to resolve this issue and the problem was incorrect GPIO configuration for GPIO1 . He did provide a feedback on the lack of clarity in user manual on how to configure MUX registers. I will file ticket to resolve this in future user manual release.

GPIO1 can be configured as SPIASOMI when peripheral mux selection is 7. You can use either of the below code snippet to achieve this

    EALLOW;
    GpioCtrlRegs.GPAGMUX1.bit.GPIO1 = 1;
    GpioCtrlRegs.GPAMUX1.bit.GPIO1 = 3;
    EDIS;

(or)

GPIO_SetupPinMux(1,GPIO_MUX_CPU1,7); // This function is defined in f28002x_gpio.c
