TMS320F28377D: Run Time Errors After Change in Wafer Fab Code

Part Number: TMS320F28377D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Hi all,

I have a design that is in production that uses the TMS320F28377D, and the contract manufacturer that is assembling the PCA has noted that after a change in the wafer fab code on the parts they've purchased, that errors are popping up during the diagnostics that were put in place. The parts that had been used had wafer fab code and silicon revision YFC, while the new components that are having problems have the code $4C. The PCA itself is unchanged, and they have even replaced the uC on the same PCA with the different fab code and it works without generating errors. One error in particular is that a FW revision number that is generated at compile time and is stored in the FW image is now un-readable. The microcontroller is functioning so it's not a total failure, but it appears that the code is unable to read a particular chunk of the FLASH memory. So far this has been observed with 6 separate uC with the same fab code. Any help that could be provided would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Lance Hummel
