TMS320F280025: How to select the specific analog channel on multiplexed pins

Part Number: TMS320F280025
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

The analog pins are multiplexed with AdcA and AdcC.

How to select the pin for specific, say for AdcA?

For GPIO, there is a method to select the function which we want on a certain pin, so looking similar for analog pins.

Orion

  • Hi Orion,

The TRM (https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/spruin7a/spruin7a.pdf) section "SOC Principle of Operation" describes how the channels are selected and sequenced.

The "Analog Pins and Internal Connections" table in the datasheet (https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tms320f280025.pdf) or TRM summarizes which pins are connected to which channels.

The driverlib function "ADC_setupSOC" in c2000ware in adc.h  in \ti\c2000\C2000Ware_3_04_00_00\driverlib\f28002x\driverlib\ configures the SOC to select the channel (and trigger source and S+H duration).  Note that you can find the driverlib documentation in c2000ware  here: /ti/c2000/C2000Ware_3_04_00_00/device_support/f28002x/docs/html/index.html.

You may also want to take a look at the various ADC examples in c2000ware in the directory \ti\c2000\C2000Ware_3_04_00_00\driverlib\f28002x\examples\adc
