LAUNCHXL-F28069M: Overheating in f28069m Launchpad

Hi,

I am using F28069m for my project. I was using ADCINA0 pin 27 for input values and by mistake, I connected it to +5 Volts (pin 21) instead of ground (pin 22). Suddenly my board got overheated and some high-frequency sound also came before it stopped functioning . Now it gets overheated every time I try to connect it and the debug probe fails to make any connection with the board.

Can anyone advise to how to rectify this if possible

    Hi Nitesh,

    The F28069M device on the board is likely damaged beyond repair unfortunately, as the Absolute Max voltage input (4.6V) has been exceeded. You can either de-solder and re-solder a new F28069M device onto your board or replace the board altogether.
