I need an example of how to use CAN time out.

How do I calculate the value I must write to the MOTO register?

For example if I have a bitrate of 1Mbaud the TSC counts every 1µs.

So if I want a timeout after 10ms I would write the value TSC + 10000 to MOTO? Is this correct?

I'm using a TMS320F28335.

Yes, your math is correct. TSC is clocked by the CAN data rate, you have to set the MOTO value to TSC + x (with TSC as the current CAN - time and x as the number of CAN bit periods into the future).

Also, watch for the TSC overflow, either by pollng the status flag or by an interrupt service routine.

I also prefer to reset TSC periodically.

Hello

I solved it by resetting TSC before setting the MOTO register.

I also found a MOTO.c example from TI.
