F28388D EtherCAT - Replace DP83822 with DP83826

Hi:

we use twincat3 to communicate with kit board F28388D (kit board: f28388d control card REV.B.)through ethercat,and all is right ,as we know ,the kit board's ESC is DP83822 .

then we develop the ethercat board base on f28388d ,and replace DP83822 with DP83826 as ESC , unfortunately it's failed communicate with Twincat3, it's always in init status, that

seems master and slave can't establish communication, here is layout design about DP83826 as follow,please help me check that is right or not.

Hello,

When you say "master and slave can't establish communication" are you referring to RMII master vs slave? What is the desired MAC interface for the DP83826, MII or RMII?

Hello,

CRS and COL should be required signals for MII, refer to Section 8.4.1.1 in the datasheet. I see in the block diagram provided, these are not connected and do not have a net name in the schematic. Is it possible to connect these signals?

Hi:

Fom the F28388D's demo schematic, we see Ethercat P0;COL is pulled down to GND,CRS is pushed up to VDD3.3 , our board is similar to the demo(works in full duplex mode ). so do you have any ideas?

Has the demo board been tested in half duplex mode?

Let's revisit the issue of not connecting via Master/Slave. Is the PHY able to link up via the MDI interface, or is the issue on the MAC interface side?
