Hi Team,

I'm not able to download the HEX code using C2PROG with the MCU TMS320F280025CPTS 48QFP version. I am using the latest C2PROG Version 1.8.10-6 and it is given the error: failed (no response).

Following are more details about my hardware and software:

GPIO 28/29 is configured as SCIA
To enter in the boot loader mode, during reset, GPIO24 is low and GPIO32 is high
I'm sure the MCU is in boot loader mode before start C2PROG
The SCIA hardware connections are correct and working fine
When my code is running the SCIA is able to talk with a proprietary Windows App at 115200 bauds.
MCU is configured to use internal oscillator. (There is no crystal oscillator in the board)
The C2PROG has the correct COM PORT selected
The C2PROG is able to program the MCU when it is configured to use JTAG
I scope the GPIO28 during the connecting attempt and it seems the signal is correct, as you can see down below.
I also scope GPIO29 and as soon as the MCU enters in boot loader mode, the GPIO29 goes low and remain low. (I don't know why !)

Would someone please kindly help?

The problem remain unsolved. Would you guys send me, or let me know where I can find, the source code/CCS Project that generates the "kernel" of 28F0025 ?

Are you asking about the source code of F280025 C2Prog's kernel?

CodeSkin owns it. Did you get a response from CodeSkin on this issue? Or they did not respond? Let me know.

Hi Vamsi,

I need F280025 "kernel" source code. It does not need to be C2PROG'S code, it can be one from TI, you guys make it available for all MCU families, except for F280025, I don't know why.
CodeSkin said their "kernel" is not open source and it is not available for customers.

We can share the TI F280025 SCI Flash kernel source with you.

They were not available earlier when we did the last C2000Ware release. They are now available and we can share with you. They will be released to C2000Ware in 3Q this year. Carlos - as per our discussion and testing, it does look as if we are dealing with a hardware problem, most likely something with your communication circuit.

When trying to connect with the MCU in TI SCI boot at 38400 Baud, the autobaud fails and the MCU does not respond at all.

When connecting with the MCU at 9600 Baud, the autobaud is successful, but communication errors occur while the kernel is being downloaded.

While we are not getting past the download of the kernel, concerns about problems with the kernel are somewhat irrelevant.

My suggestion still is to confirm this theory by temporarily bypassing your communication circuit using an FDTI cable.

Once we get the kernel loaded into the MCU, we will be in a much better position.
