Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28335
Hi,
I'm working on a TMS320F28335, and I'm trying to use the flash registers. The best datasheet I found is : http://focus.ti.com/lit/ug/sprufb0d/sprufb0d.pdf .
On this document, page 26, table 10, it is notified that the flash configuration registers are stored from addresses 0x00 0A80 to 0x00 0A87. The Bits of those registers are described page 18 of the same document.
Their function is described as followed :
FOPT 0x0A80 // Flash Option Register
Reserved 0x0A81 // Reserved
FPWR 0x0A82 // Flash Power Modes Register
FSTATUS 0x0A83 // Status Register
FSTDBYWAIT (3) 0x0A84 // Flash Sleep To Standby Wait Register
FACTIVEWAIT (3) 0x0A85 // Flash Standby To Active Wait Register
FBANKWAIT 0x0A86 // Flash Read Access Wait State Register
FOTPWAIT 0x0A87 // OTP Read Access Wait State Register
On a library I'm working on (flash28_API which is unreadable by the human eye because it's not commented), the registers 0x00 0A88 to 0x00 0A9C are also used.
My problem is that the bits of those registers aren't decribed in the datasheet while they seem to exist. In fact, in the Table 10 "Resources Affected by the CSM", there is obviously an unknow address range from 0x000A88 to 0x007FFF. Are those registers not supposed to be modified?
The program I'm working on needs to be able to write, read and erase the Flash dynamically. Do I need those additionnal registers?
Finally, is it really necessary to stop all interrupts when using the flash?
thanks for your time
