TMS320F280025: TMS320F280025 endless Boot loop

Hello,

I got a problem, during using a TMS320F280025 MCU, We stuck somewhere in the device boot flow. I suspect it is happening at Flash Powered up/ Timeout expired block, I think we always get a timeout here, but I'm not sure. I would like to get into Standalone Boot mode and use the default boot configuration, without writing the OTP block. Is there any technical document, application note or example code about this topic?

for standalone boot mode booting to flash you just need to drive the boot mode pins 24 and 32 to high.

I suppose TRM has enough details on this.

do you have your code programmed in flash ? Can you share more details on the behavior you are observing

Thank you for your answer.

We have already tried this, the boot mode pins are pulled high. It is programmed to the flash memory.

If I use “standalone” boot mode, the boot pins are pulled high and the power supply is OK then the oscillator does not work, however if I start the software with CCS than I have a signal on the oscillator.

Do you need any further details?

Hi Vince,

Do you have the branch assembly code file added to your project? Can you also check if your linker command file points to the right location for the start of your code?
