TMS320F280049C-Q1: CMPSS DAC Static Gain Error

Hi Expert,

My Customer is referring to "Figure 7-51 CMPSS DAC Static Offset", "Figure 7-52 CMPSS DAC Static Gain" and "7.10.5.1.2 CMPSS DAT Static Electrical Characteristics" in F28004x Datasheet(SPRS945F).

Customer questions:
Q1) Figure 7-51 explains both Offset Error and Gain Error and Both errors are included. Is this understanding correct ?
Q2) If the Offset Error is removed, which color line (Blue or Magenta) is the Gain Error graph drown in below figure ?

Hi Saito,

Gain error is offset error agnostic since it's the slope of the transfer function. Both figures 7-51 and 7-52 have gain and offset errors as shown however 7-51 is only showing the offset error and 7-52 the gain error. The gain error remains the same whether or not offset error is removed. The only thing changing in this case is the total error.

Let us know if this is not clear.
