I am looking at TMS320F2837x series, and have some questions regarding certification
How can I get those answered?
Well, the information on this series is quite vague and I'm trying to clarify the certification completeness of “Functional Safety Quality Managed” and “Functional Safety Compliant”
We know that “Functional Safety Quality Managed” only has a certificate for select products according to the remark of the table on your website. We saw TMS320F2837x series marked as “Functional Safety Quality Managed”, and found the certificate of it by TUV SUD (Z10 084071 0021) – the certificate of “Safety MCU” that includes 2807x and 2837x series, including our exact target of TMS320F28377. But we can’t find the certificate of “C2000 SafeTI Diagnostic Library Software”. How it can it work for our intended use of TMS320F3287x to build a product to pass TUV certification on the“C2000 SafeTI Diagnostic Library Software”

The C2000-SAFETI-DIAGNOSTICS-LIB — C2000 SafeTI Diagnostic software library with Compliance Support Package (CSP) and C2000-SAFETI-CLA-STL — C2000 SafeTI F28x7x control law accelerator self-test library (CLA STL) can be requested from here: https://www.ti.com/tool/C2000-SAFETI-DIAGNOSTICS-LIB

Thank you for the reply. In the page you provided, the SafeTI library is not certified by TUV, and TI provides evidence to the user to pass the certification by themselves.

Some follow-up questions:

We saw TMS320F28377 marked as “Functional Safety Quality Managed” before and TMS320F280049 marked as “Functional Safety Compliant”. In hardware both of them has TUV certification. In software, both of them supported by C2000 SafeTI library. Is our understanding correct? If so, then what is the benefit of “Functional Safety Compliant” v.s. “Functional Safety Quality Managed” product? Please take TMS320F280049 v.s. TMS320F28377 in functional safety certification completeness as an example.
We can’t find TMS320F28377 at this link that chose “Functional Safety Quality Managed” anymore,

In the link below, any TMS320F28377 related products have no content in the “TI functional safety category”.

Does it mean that TMS320F28377 is no longer supported by SafeTI?

Thanks for pointing this out. There are once again some errors showing in the parametric data, especially for this functional safety level.

you can see a table on the left where you can see the F2837x and 07x devices (along with F280049/48 versions) are Functional Safety Compliant. If you click ASIL B / SIL2 there is a link to the TUV certificate.

Also, from a product folder like TMS320F28377S under technical documentation if you search for TUV you will find above certificate along with the report on which it was granted https://www.ti.com/lit/swaq010
