Hi,

I had this customer who uses LaunchXL-F28379D. He encounters many errors and he needs instructions on how to restore factory setting.

I will list below the errors he encounter and it is better if you could help us to explain what is the meaning and cause of the error.

C28xx_CPU1: GEL Output: Memory Map Initialization Complete

C28xx_CPU1: Error initializing flash programming: Interface returned from dll, but flash is not available on this device.

C28xx_CPU1: Loader: One or more sections of your program falls into a memory region that is not writable. These regions will not actually be written to the target. Check your linker configuration and/or memory map.

C28xx_CPU1: File Loader: Verification failed: Values at address 0x82000@Program do not match Please verify target memory and memory map.

C28xx_CPU1: GEL: File: C:\Users\Gabriele\workspace_v10\gfd\Debug\gfd.out: a data verification error occurred, file load failed.

I hope you can help us with the errors and a better solution to fix these errors aside to restore factory settings. Thank you very much.

Ray,

1) Is the customer able to load code to RAM and execute successfully?

2) Are they able to program the flash successfully on this device at least once? If yes, did they program any DCSM settings? Please check the DCSM OTP space and confirm.

3) Please ask them to check if there is a toggle on XRSn when this happens. Maybe a reset is interrupting the flash plugin operation and hence asking.

No, I can't execute the code properly.

2) Are they able to program the flash successfully on this device at least once? If yes, did they program any DCSM settings? Please check the DCSM OTP space and confirm.

The program used to be ok until when i received the error in Simulink. How can I check the DCSM OTP space?

No, there is no toggle on XRSn, never.

Ray,

I would suggest to first concentrate on successfully executing from RAM.

What happens when you execute from RAM? Please provide more details. Did you try to load and execute the examples that TI provided in C2000Ware? If not, please try and let us know how it goes.

Please check datasheet to know where the DCSM OTP space is located. Check your linker cmd file and map file to see if there is anything mapped in that area.
