TMS320F28027F: Highly Distorted Phase Current Shape

Part Number: TMS320F28027F
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8301

Hi we are currently seeing an issue with the phase current going into the motor on our custom ESC board using the Instaspin SW.  Our phase to phase voltages look fairly good sampled at 15kHz, however the current has larger harmonics on it. see the plots below. This data was taken while running Lab 4 where you directly set Iq Current Ref. The motor otherwise spins fine, but our main concern is the phase current. The plots data was imported from the scope and than plotted in Octave to sample the data at 15kHz to remove the high frequency switching. This data was taken when Iq Ref was set to 1.0A. We are using hall effect sensors with a 100kHz BW and our switching frequency is 45kHz. Additionally we have 59kHz filtering on the output of the hall effect sensors. We noticed that when the current sensors were more heavily filtered, down to 5kHz the harmonics were reduced on the current waveshape. Is there something we should be doing either in hw or sw that could affect this result?
