C2000WARE: Flash programming tool

For C28x core you will need to use C2000 compiler. If you do not want to build within CCS, you can write makefile and compile/build it.

For flashing, C2000 devices, you can flash through CCS or there are third-party tools

This is exactly what I want to do.

I want to make a project and define all the peripherals in that. In the main file of the project, I want to define some global variables and a function that uses these variables. But I want to write the code for this function in another software (it is written in C though). Then I will add this file to the same path as the project.  

I want to use a standalone compiler that compiles the whole project to one executable file and then program it to the DSP. I don't want to use code composer in these steps. Do you have any recommendations on how I can do that?

If you have installed C2000 compiler, hex2000 is available as part of compiler installation. The path will be something like below.

C:/ti/ccs1010/ccs/tools/compiler/ti-cgt-c2000_20.2.1.LTS/bin/hex2000

You can run the hex2000 as command line, or you can make it as post-build step in your makefile.

Thanks, I've seen that option. But Can I use any other compiler to build this hex file for me rather than Code Composer. Let's say we have the whole project ready written by Code composer but we do not have a code composer to make this hex file.

So I checked C2000 Gang Programmer. but it needs hex file to program it to the DSP.

I am not familiar any other tool to generate hex file for C2000 out file.

Just curious why you do not want to use hex2000 ?  If you do not want to use hex file, then code-composer flash plugin can be used, but then you have to use code-composer.

because I want to make this automated. I want to have a server who is responsible for getting the project and making the hex file. then by using some tools like ETAS INCA we can program the hex file to the DSP and do calibration and diagnostics.

On the server, you should be able to run bat file or shell script which can run hex2000 as part of script.
