Hi,

What is the minimum resolution in nano seconds that can be achieved using ePWM module on TMS570LS1227? the VCLK4 is maximum 150MHz so it is 6.6ns?

and also using N2HET?

The maximum clock of N2HET in TMS570LS1227 is supposed to be 160Mhz but the data sheet says VCLK2 can maximum be 100 MHz. So the resolution of timings that can be achieved is 10ns not 6.25ns?

Hi Sharif,
You are correct that for N2HET the best resolution can be achieved is 10ns due to max VCLK2=100MHz.

And ePWM can achieve 1/(150Mhz) = 6.66 ns? can you please tell me how can we achieve this on ePWM module if we want to keep the system clock at 180Mhz?

Hi Sharif,
Since the VCLK4 is limited to 150MHz, the options you have is to:

1) Configure HCLK for which the VCLK4 is derived from to also 150MHz. This means the HCLK:VCLK4 will be 1:1.
2) Configure HCLK for 180MHz and VCLK4 to 90MHz so you don't violate the 150MHz limit for VCLK4.
