RM57L843: Serial interfaces

Greetings All.

I have a very basic question here regarding interfacing of other peripherals with RM57 controller. As there are only 4 serial interfaces provided in the above mentioned controller. Kindly someone guide me how can I interface 10 RS422 channels to RM57? According to my thinking one very absurd idea that comes to my mind is using TUSB8041. Can I? I am a beginner so please cooperate. Any other ideas would also be very helpful.

Hello,
I am not sure what is your idea about using TUSB8041. This chip is USB Hub.
Here you can find TIs transceivers that could give you some ideas: www.ti.com/.../products.html
You can use software emulated UART as well.

Hey.
I want to connect an RS422 channel (of course will be using a transceiver ) but their are only 4 SCI channels on the controller. I want to interface 10 channels. I can use the 4 SCI ports but how to interface the other 6 RS422 channels out of 10 RS422 channels?

Hello,
You could use software emulated UART or you could add multiplexer/analog switch to extend number of UARTs ( www.ti.com/.../overview.html )
