Square-wave superimposed on staircase ramp

Hello,

What is the easiest way to generate a square-wave superimposed on a staircase potential ramp using an MSP430; with the ability to set the start and end voltage?

I also need to be able to take a measurement and store the result at every falling and rising edge.

TI made excellent product selector for you to succeed - just select msp430 chips having DAC.

I have the MSP430 Launchpad - I was hoping I could generate the waveform using it?

Any pointers on how I would go about generating the waveform that I need?

You can create low frequency waveforms using PWM. Google for "PWM DAC".
