You can use the ADC10 to sampel the signal and detect if it crosses a certain threshold. Or you use the comparator to trigger an interrupt or a timer capture when the voltage crosses an externally or internally applied reference voltage.

But keep in mind that input voltage must be >0V and <VCC. You cannot apply a symmetrical signal and make a zero-crossing detect.
