Hello,

I want to interface a 16x2 char lcd with my msp430 launchpad. I'm using code composer studio. Can anyone tell me if there is any builtin library to support lcd in ccsv6 or should I built it on my own?

Which MSP430 Launchpad are you using??

You may also want to take a look at the Displays BoosterPacks - www.ti.com/.../select.page

And SW/Libs are available for each of those BoosterPacks.

Hello Rehma,

CCS only provides examples for the 430BOOST-SHARP96, BOOSTXL-K350QVG-S1, or LCDs provided on the MSP430FR4133 and MSP430FR6989 LaunchPads. There are however a multitude of community-provided character LCD code examples available online:
