Is there a library / sample code for playing back audio with PWM output for MSP432 MCUs?

I am not familiar with a specific MSP432 example. The timers are the same for the MSP432 and MSP430 families. Perhaps you can take this example:

and port to msp432 (www.ti.com/.../slaa656d.pdf )

Here are a number of references for doing audio playback through a PWM output:

There is an audio BoosterPack for MSP430, BOOSTXL-AUDIO, that includes an option for driving the output from a PWM source. The MSP430FR5994 software examples available from this link show how to configure the timer for PWM output. Since the MSP432 shares the same Timer peripherals as this MSP430 device, it should be relatively straightforward to port that part of the code to MSP432.
The TI Design Voice Band Audio Playback Using a PWM DAC has complete details on building an audio output using PWM. It also has additional software examples on outputting audio, specifically voice, using the Timer. So, this is a another good software reference.
AppNote: Low-Cost Speech With MSP430- a good general reference on PWM audio.

These 3 sources should provide a good start for your project.
