In SLAC015, fet140_ta_22.c & fet140_fll_01.c are timer capture code examples and other Timer code examples are compare/PWM examples. The timer module works the same way in all devices.

i am working on MSP430f1611 capture for last two days, but i didn't get how to calculate frequency in using it. can anybody help me?

And why do you post in in a 3 years old thread about timer demo code for the F2774?

However, there are several threads about frequency capturing with the timers. With explanations and even some code. Just use the forum search.
