For a MSP430F2272, I didn't manage to find the way to determinate the value of DCO frequency according to external Rosc value when used (DCOR=1). Nor in the user's guide, nor in the component spec sheet. I didn't find anyway a specific application note.

For the 2xx chips, using the DCOR / Rosc option will give the DCO the same characteristics as the MSP430x1xx chips, so the RSEL3 is ignored.
