LPM1, LPM2 and DCO

Im not sure if I understand the idea of DC generator as a part of DCO. It seems to me that DC generator is current source for RC oscillator. If so, how in LPM1 DCO can be active while DC generator can be disable? And why in LPM2 DC generator is active while DCO is disable? If DC generator is only for DCO to work why that DC generator is working in this mode and wasting power?

  •  Ok, I found some paper from 1995 "MSP430 Family Architecture Guide and Module Library". In section 7 I found information which confirmed that DC generator is source for RC oscillator. Another thing I found is that DC generator remains active when DCO is disable because this provide faster wake up.

Still not sure what about LPM1. DCO on and DC gen. off - seems to have no sense to me.

Can anyone confirm that I am right with LPM2 and explain LPM1?

    Edit

OK i found that in LPM1 DCO's dc generator is disabled if DCO not used in active mode so I thing I've got it
