MSP-EXP430F5438 Experimenter Board's -- Replacement for Hitachi HD66753 LCD Screen

Hello,

The LCD Screen on my MSP-EXP430F5438 Experimenter Board is damaged and I would like to replace it, but I can't source the Hitachi HD66753 LCD Screen anywhere. I read somewhere that this line was bought by Renesas who has since discontinued it.

It might be more cost/time effective to replace the whole board with something like this:

In addition to Brian's great suggestion, keep in mind that we are in the process of introducing a BoosterPack for the MSP430 LaunchPad with a graphics LCD module from Sharp. The p/n should be 430BOOST-SHARP96 and although I do not believe it is visible yet on the TI eStore, it should be over time.

Looks there may be more than one MSP430 "kit" using this same Sharp display. Here is another reference:

I believe this is the p/n: Sharp LS013B4DN04 (if you do a Google search, choose the first Sharp link): datasheet available online to answer your previous questions.
